DESCRIPTION:The Twelfth Lock is overlooked by the old Blanchardstown Mill and is book-ended with two bridges. SUMMARY:Heritage Week: Photo Opportunity in Celbridge\, Saturday 24th of August.
DESCRIPTION:Kildrought House\, situated on the Main Street\, is the oldest house in Celbridge. The house was built in 1720 by a Dublin upholsterer & tapestry maker Robert Baillie. From 1782 to 1814 the house was known as the Celbridge Academy. It later became a fever hospital\, vicarage & a dispensary. It then reverted to a private residence.\nThe current owner\, June Stuart\, has given the Camera Club the opportunity to view the beautiful house and gardens this Saturday morning. We will meet at the Slip Hall at 10.15 and walk to the house on the Main Street.\nNumbers are limited to 20 in total. 10 in the gardens and 10 in the house at any one time.\nThere will be a cover charge of €3 per head.

DESCRIPTION:It’s a short walk on the Lake Drive from D J Cullen’s pub to Blessington Boat Hire on the shore of the lakes. Hopefully we’ll get images of the sun setting over the lakes. The address is McCarthys Farm Shallon Lane\, The Ward\, (North Co.Dublin) A big thank you to Marjan and her family who have invited us to their family farm. Normal Health and Safety rules will apply. Marjan will do the induction when we get there.\nSubject to no major rain deluge we shall be meeting at Marjan’s at 19.00 hours – The combine harvester is expected to be cutting barley at that hour. DESCRIPTION:As part of our diversification and finding unusual places to photograph here is the next offering – The Steam Museum in Straffan\, County Kildare \nThanks to David Wolahan for the next venue. \nIt is an early start 18.45 at the slip hall for lifts / getting a lift and 18.55 at the venue \nhttps://goo.gl/maps/QVVSowh9iRH2 \nAs with most public places there are copyright limitations – We are not allowed to sell the photographs from a commercial perspective. We are allowed to use for internal competitions\, external competitions and personal use. If you cannot meet the restrictions above you will have to decline. \nThey have also requested to receive a few shots from the night for their own use to use as they wish. These are the same conditions as Maynooth University that we recently attended. Again thanks to David for arranging. If anybody has new places / suggestions can they PM me please. DESCRIPTION:October’s outing is on Saturday the 28th to Cloghleagh in Wicklow. We will meet there at 10:00am.\nThis is located just before St John’s Church (sat nav 53.1896652 -6.4342567). \nGoogle map link to the location.   \nDirections\nFrom Dublin drive towards Blessington and turn left onto the R759 to Sallygap.\nTurn left again before Manor Kilbride and about 2KM further you will arrive at a bridge with the river underneath.\nIf you see St John’s church it means you just passed the spot.\nFor those of you that want to car pool please arrange between yourselves. \nThe ground can be wet and slippery. Hiking boots or wellingtons with a good grip are recommended.
