DESCRIPTION:It’s a short walk on the Lake Drive from D J Cullen’s pub to Blessington Boat Hire on the shore of the lakes. Hopefully we’ll get images of the sun setting over the lakes. It’s a good location for fishermen. I’m sure we’ll see at least one there!\nOn the way down to the shore there is a turning to the left\, Springwell Lane. You’ll find stonemason Terry O’Flaherty’s yard\, home and his inn\, Ballyknockan Inn (closed). Terry has given us permission to take photos around his property (at our own risk). Loads of interesting images here!\nAs usual we’ll meet at the Slip Hall at 19.30. New members always welcome. Let’s car pool where possible. DESCRIPTION:Early start for Monday. \nWe are to be at the site at 19.00 due to the nights getting darker earlier. Marjan one of our members has kindly offered the family farm fields and sheds to us. The address is McCarthys Farm Shallon Lane\, The Ward\, (North Co.Dublin) A big thank you to Marjan and her family who have invited us to their family farm. Normal Health and Safety rules will apply. Marjan will do the induction when we get there.\nSubject to no major rain deluge we shall be meeting at Marjan’s at 19.00 hours – The combine harvester is expected to be cutting barley at that hour. There will be a shed or two to nose around and Marjan has said the sun sets to the west!!! DESCRIPTION:October’s outing is on Saturday the 28th to Cloghleagh in Wicklow. We will meet there at 10:00am.\nThis is located just before St John’s Church (sat nav 53.1896652 -6.4342567). \nGoogle map link to the location.   \nDirections\nFrom Dublin drive towards Blessington and turn left onto the R759 to Sallygap.\nTurn left again before Manor Kilbride and about 2KM further you will arrive at a bridge with the river underneath.\nIf you see St John’s church it means you just passed the spot.\nFor those of you that want to car pool please arrange between yourselves. \nThe ground can be wet and slippery. Hiking boots or wellingtons with a good grip are recommended.
