DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome Anne-Sophie Gigan to present her work on Dance Photography. \nAnne is a member of Dublin Camera Club and will present a summary of her  “Dublin Dancers and Dreams” exhibition with a short videos and a selection of dance photography exhibited in two galleries in Dublin in January and March.  \nThe idea behind this dance project is to portray a variety of traditional dances using the most famous Dublin landmarks as a background. She intends to picture the cultural richness and mixture that Dublin offers by welcoming cultures beyond its borders. The traditionalism of the dances and the modernity of the city blend in a harmonious contrast\, allowing foreign cultures to feel free to represent their being in a land that welcomed them with open arms.

DESCRIPTION:Peter Gordon Landscaper Photographer. \nPeter Gordon is a Dublin based photographic artist. The goal of Peter’s work is to present the viewer with a new visual understanding of time and place. To reinterpret landscape\, and place\, and capture an energy which can be transmitted to the viewer. \nSince 2007 Peter has exhibited his work in a host of galleries and art shows while also winning numerous awards. In 2011 the Wild Garden project was launched and was covered by all the major media outlets in Ireland including RTE television\, the Irish Times\, the Irish Independent\, the Business Post and on Moncrief on Newstalk radio. Peter’s work on the Burning Man festival in 2013 was also received with great success with further domestic and international coverage of the project. Both projects also resulted in book publications.

SUMMARY:On Monday\, the 18th of May\, for our final presentation of the season\, we will have Mike Pilkington\, a well-established photographer - and a recent grandad!
DESCRIPTION:Mike is a seasoned traveller and having narrowly missed lockdown in India\, he is now back in Ireland. Just before his recent trip to India\, Mike travelled over 10\,000 km to visit Lake Baikal in Siberia – the largest fresh water lake in the world. At the time of his visit\, temperatures were as low as -30 Degrees Centigrade and Mike was being driven in vehicles on ice approximately 1 metre thick. \n  \nHis talk will have something for everyone\, as well as taking us through the story of his adventure with travel shots\, he has some great images covering landscapes\, astrophotography\, urban\, nature\, aerial and macro.

SUMMARY:We are delighted to welcome back Ita Martin on Monday\, the 11th of May\, to present a live video of her work. A member of Malahide Camera Club\, Ita is renowned for her wonderful bird and wildlife photography.
DESCRIPTION:Ita judged one of our POTY rounds last year and since then she has been to the USA and to India. She will include images from these two trips plus photos from Norway\, Italy and Scotland. She is a much-decorated photographer who can list among her many achievements the IPF Nature Photographer of the Year and a Gold Medal in the National Club Finals. In addition\, her work has been published widely in national and international photography and wildlife magazines.

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that we are resuming our regular weekly meetings with a live video presentation by Joe Houghton. Joe’s work has featured in many Irish and international publications. He is also a Getty images contributor\, and is an Adobe Certified Expert in Lightroom. Between 2006 & 2017 he provided Nikon with all their training for Irish customers and dealers\, training literally thousands of camera owners at all levels in everything from basic camera techniques through to professional level photography in many genres. Joe is a member of the Palmerstown Camera Club in Ireland\, Royal Photographic Society in the UK and the Photographic Society of South Africa. \nThis meeting can be accessed only by CCC members who have signed-up to Zoom. SUMMARY:This Monday\, the 6th of January\, we will have a presentation by our Audio Visual (AV) Group
DESCRIPTION:Our AV Group will show us some of our individual members’ entries and the club’s entry to the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) Audio Visual Championships 2019. In addition to the National AV Championships the IPF was hosting the 7th International AV competition. The Championships took place last October in Áras Chronáin\, the Irish Cultural Centre in Clondalkin.\nThey will also show us an entry from Italy\, the overall winner of the International category.\nThis will be an opportunity for all of us to see the latest creative works from our Audio Visual Group who have been remarkably successful in both national and international competitions over the years.
