DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 8th of January the Slip Hall turns into The Celbridge Camera Club Portrait Studio. This will be a fun night where members get the chance to dress up\, sit in front of the camera and get their portrait taken by other club members in our own Portrait Studio.\nAs this is not a workshop\, instruction will be informal and between members\, it’s a great opportunity to see and try the equipment.\nThere will be 3 different light setups\, including different backgrounds and a few props to dress up in.\nOn the night you can be a photographer\, a model\, or just be there for a bit of craic. \nPhotographers: please have your camera with you and have it set to the following settings: Manual Mode\, ISO 100\, Shutter Speed 1/160\, F/8 (your Aperture will be the only variable setting on the night)\nGood portrait focal lengths include 50 mm\, 85 mm\, 100 mm and 135 mm.\nA 24-70 mm lens or 70-200 mm lens are also great lens for portraits. \nIf you wish to have your portrait taken\, you can dress for the occasion\, bring along a few fun props if you wish or pick a particular theme\, i.e. the 50’s / 60’s\, Peaky Blinders style etc.\nWe will be setting up the Studio from 7.00pm\, and photographers and models should be ready to go from 7.30pm onwards.\nLooking forward to a great night

SUMMARY:The Night Sky Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Club member and astrology expert Frank Butler will lead a workshop on capturing the beauty of the night sky. \nDon’t put your camera away at the end of the day\, night time offers a whole range of opportunities to carry on shooting. In this workshop you will learn the techniques and skills to take some great photographs incorporating the Sky at Night. Night photography is an excellent excuse to get out of your comfort zone with your camera and experiment using manual mode.\nWe are planning to photograph the rising full moon over the Irish Sea using a well known landmark as foreground interest. Please bring your longest (highest magnification) lens and a tripod and a Shutter Release Timer if you have one. \nLocation: To be determined \nMax Numbers: 20 (club members only)\nSign up details are available in the club
