As with most public places there are copyright limitations – We are not allowed to sell the photographs from a commercial perspective. We are allowed to use for internal competitions\, external competitions if you cannot meet the restrictions above you will have to decline. SUMMARY:Hand in and framing for the Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:This is the hand in and framing night for the exhibition. As usual we will need many hands on deck to help get all of the images framed\, so please come along to help out. \nNote that the exhibition is also the final round of the club league.  \nEach member is permitted to enter a single image in each of the media categories (i.e. one colour print\, one monochrome print and one digital projected image). \nMembers who are not competing in the league may still enter the exhibition. There will be a facility available on the night to clearly identify that their images are not to be considered in the club league. A similar facility will exist for the digital projected images. All of this will be explained clearly by the competition secretary prior to the hand in night. \nAll images submitted for the final round of the leage will be automatically included in the exhibition.

We will have 3 live stages: \n\nImage Critique Stage: A number of senior members in the club will be on hand to critique images and to give suggestions and tips on how the images may be improved.\nQuestions about my Camera Stage: Some of our more technically minded members will be on hand and will hopefully be able to answer questions relating to features and settings of different types of camera. They may not be able to cover all makes and models but they will do their best.\nEnlightenment Stage: The club has studio lights that are available to members to borrow. These will be set up at one end of the hall members will be given a chance to try them out.

DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 3rd February Brian Hopper will give a workshop on “The Perfect Print”. \nThis full day course will cover the following topics: \n\nColour management.\nCalibration of equipment.\nWorkflow – Photoshop / Lightroom\nMonochrome Prints.\nPost processing:\n\n\n\nLayers\nDodge & Burn\nContrast\nSharpening\nRe-sizing an image\n\n\n\n\n\nThe emphasis is on the practical step-by-step to producing the perfect print and the use of various papers.\nBrian will have an Epson printer and will step through the print process using gloss and matt papers.\nHe will also introduce different methods of finishing / presenting an image.\nAll the steps throughout the workshop are straightforward and are aimed at eliminating common misconceptions and making the participants think about the print process.\nCost of this workshop is €50 and is limited to 20 people.\nPlease register and pay Jim on Monday evening meetings to ensure a place.
