Congratulations are in order to the Audio Visual members in the club for some notable results in the Northern Ireland Photographic Association’s (NIPA) All Ireland Audio Visual Competition 2018 and in the IAC Peter Coles International AV Competition 2018 held in Wales which were on in February and March respectively.
NIPA
- Brendan O’Sullivan was the overall winner in the All Ireland Section with his new sequence “A Sea of Memories”, which also featured Maria O’Reilly.
- Celbridge Camera Club won the Best Script for “The Incredible Arthur”. This audio visual sequence was made by members of Celbridge Camera Club – Dallas Camier, Pat Collins, Cliff Hutchinson, Bridie Maughan, Liam O’Reilly, Brendan O’Sullivan, Rita Nolan & Lilian Webb. Bridie Maughan wrote the script and was the narrator of the sequence.
- Rita Nolan won a Highly Commended ribbon for “The Enchanted Way”.
- Michael Linehan won a Highly Commended ribbon for his entry “A Grand Canal”, and Michael’s second sequence “Just Birds” won the Best Nature Sequence medal on 17th February
IAC Peter Coles
- Celbridge Camera Club’s sequence, “The Incredible Arthur” got a very creditable joint 4th.
- Michael Linehan’s sequence “A Grand Canal”, came 3rd in the Audience vote and received a Judge’s mention.
