The Audio Visual Group

Celbridge Camera Club Audio Visual Group

Celbridge camera club members have a long standing tradition in the medium of Audio Visual dating back to the late 90’s. Club members were involved in the IPF AV Group when it was established in the 90’s and Lilian Webb, AIPF, is the current IPF AV Co-ordinator. Brendan O’Sullivan, AIPF, is the current Chairman of the IPF AV Group Committee which includes Lilian and Rita Nolan, LIPF. This committee also has members from Shannon and Enniscorthy Camera clubs and it organises the National IPF Audio Visual Championships in October each year.

Other club members are also involved in the medium of Audio Visual and as well as submitting individual entries to the National IPF Audio Visual Championships, the club has submitted several club entries to the championships. Each club entry requires an input from a minimum of 5 club members.

Anyone considering getting involved or would like to know more about this medium should talk to a club member involved or come along to the East Leinster Audio Visual Group-Forum. This forum has participants from Dublin and Wexford Camera Clubs and details of the group forum are set out below.

A selection of the Club sequences can be viewed below.

East Leinster Audio Visual Group-Forum

The ELAVG is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the production of Audio Visual Sequences and is a means of providing a forum for the exchanging and sharing knowledge, skills and techniques in the fields of Digital Audio Visual production.

The forum convenes on the 2nd Saturday of every month, and we meet at the Lucan Library, Lucan Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan, Dublin K78 V295.
It is situated to the extreme left of the centre, near the Dunnes Stores entrance. We meet in Starbucks for coffee at 9.30am. Then we move to a room in the Library @ 9.50 am finishing @ 12.45 pm.

All are welcome to join us at any time during the session.

Here you will find a creative and cooperative environment and a group of friendly individuals.

The sessions are informal, although an agenda and time table is usually issued to all participants in advance of the meeting.

The Group objectives are:

  1. To encourage newcomers to AV, no matter how inexperienced, to develop their interest and enjoyment of this hobby, only limited to the requirements of their varying ambitions.
  2. To provide an opportunity to all attendees to improve their skill levels and techniques in all matters relating to audiovisual photography, sound recording and the production of audiovisual sequences.
  3. To encourage more experienced members to show their work for constructive comment and also provide help and guidance to those wishing to progress to Distinctions and enter National and International Competitions.
