Monday the 8th of October Olive Gaughan Offshoot CC

Olive took up photography in 2007, but always had an interest in art, having done it to Leaving Cert.  Her initial interest was portraiture, focused on her kids who were little at the time. Since then she has grown to love landscape and seascape photography, and enjoy being “up before the world” when the light is at its best. She did her L in 2010 on landscape. Since then she has gone through phases – long exposure photography, newborn photography, still life, and street photography. She returned to portraiture for her AIPF, doing her panel on shadow portraits.  she is not sure what’s next for her photographically – work has taken over and she hasn’t been making enough time for it.  She has tried macro, but she is  not yet very interested in it. Maybe more still life might be on the horizon and she is planning a new portraits project.

she did a talk on her A panel in Offshoot, and the practical aspects involved. We can’t wait to see her work.
