On Monday, the 18th of May, for our final presentation of the season, we will have Mike Pilkington, a well-established photographer – and a recent grandad!

Mike is a seasoned traveller and having narrowly missed lockdown in India, he is now back in Ireland. Just before his recent trip to India, Mike travelled over 10,000 km to visit Lake Baikal in Siberia – the largest fresh water lake in the world. At the time of his visit, temperatures were as low as -30 Degrees Centigrade and Mike was being driven in vehicles on ice approximately 1 metre thick.
His talk will have something for everyone, as well as taking us through the story of his adventure with travel shots, he has some great images covering landscapes, astrophotography, urban, nature, aerial and macro.
