Competition Rules update

We are making a few changes to the 2018 season competitions.  The purpose of the changes are twofold:

  1. Promote creativity and encourage photographers to take risks with images or new techniques of processing
  2. We are hoping that the winners will not be decided until the exhibition, encouraging participation right up to the end and enhancing the importance of the end of year exhibition.

This year, there will be 5 competition rounds with the exhibition counting as the 6 POTY round. Scoring in the exhibition with be double the normal scores. Three of the five rounds will have an optional theme. Any photographer can enter an additional image in the theme – the entry will be highlighted on the form. This means that a photographer entering a themed image, can enter 7 images (with the best 6 scores counting)
