Feb 29th 2024 was a great day for Celbridge Camera Club. The last remaining copy of – Celbridge – A Photographic Record – was sold by Michael Davitt to Leanne Coyle of Leannecoylephotography.com. Leanne is a professional photographer based in Co. Cavan and couldn’t wait to get her hands on the Celbridge Camera Club book. Leanne is undertaking a major project to photograph every pub in County Cavan and to try and capture the ambience, customers and brief history of each pub. As the number of pubs in Ireland is declining rapidly Leanne hopes to produce an historical archive of images and tales from all the little pubs of Breifne. Leanne was amazed at the quality of the images in our book and the quality of the book itself. She was full of praise for the members of Celbridge Camera Club for their superb work and Leanne really appreciated all the advice and guidance Michael was able to give her based on our experience of producing and selling 1,000 copies of our book. CCC would like to wish Leanne every success with her project and we’ll look forward to seeing it in print soon.
