CCC Privacy Notice

Dear Member,

With new EU Data Protection Regulations – EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 – coming into force on 25th May 2018, Celbridge Camera Club (CCC) wants to make sure we handle your data correctly and be in compliance of the EU data Protection Regulation 2016/679.

Firstly what is meant by personal data and data protection?
The Data protection regulation aims to protect an individual’s rights to privacy by regulating how organisations such as CCC obtain, store and use your personal data. So, data protection rules provide individuals with certain rights whilst also imposing certain duties and obligations on organisations like CCC.

The following is considered as personal data and subject to GDPR directive:
your name; your email address; your home address; your telephone number; your IP address; device identifier; location data; other common data such as bank account; date of birth and credit card information. In fact, personal data is any information that can directly or indirectly identify an individual.

CCC currently holds your name, surname, home address, your email address and a telephone number (if provided) in a secured environment. These are used strictly to provide you with information associated with CCC. CCC does not share your contact details with 3rd parties.

Unless I hear to the contrary, CCC shall continue to hold this information. If you do not wish to receive any future updates, please do let me know by emailing the club.

For more clarification, please contact Jim Kelly (Tres).

Regards
Austin Crowe
CCC Chairperson
